A stock replacement filter is a direct replacement filter which will fit perfectly into the filter box provided by the company and a performance filter is conical filter which is installed through an intake pipe. A performance filter will give more performance gain compared to stock replacement filter if it directed through cold air intake feed. A cold air intake feed is a custom made intake pipe which is made to direct cold air into the air filter. It is normally installed in a direction away from the radiator fan, which throws hot air.
